OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2013. Sakhalin Energy received grand-prix of the International project “Environmental Culture. Peace and Harmony”, category “Environmental Culture in Industry and Power Economy”.

Sakhalin Energy received an honorary award for its project Environmental Impact Management in the course of Oil and Gas Fields Development under the Sakhalin-2 Project.

The project describes Sakhalin Energy environmental protection management system and informs about the results of implementation of the company environmental principles.

All federal districts of the Russian Federation took part in the “Environmental Culture. Peace and Harmony” project.

The main objective of the facilitators was to identify and encourage the projects, researches and ideas of practical use for building and development of the environmental culture of population of the Russian Federation.

International project “Environmental Culture. Peace and Harmony” was established by the International Environmental Public Organisation GREENLIGHT jointly with the V.I. Vernadsky Non-governmental Ecological Fund in 2012 under the auspices of the State Duma and the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
