OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2013. VTB Bank is announcing the opening of voting for the new Shareholders Consultative Council (SCC). Shareholders can vote at VTB shareholder liaison centres or online on the VTB website.

As council members’ four-year term expired in April 2013, VTB Bank began the process of electing a new Shareholders Consultative Council, an independent expert body. Any shareholder older than 21 was eligible to apply to serve on the SCC. Applications from minority holders were accepted from 22 April to 31 May.

In early June, an expert panel shortlisted 30 candidates based on their qualifications, experience, education and occupation, as well as their plans for their time on the council.

VTB shareholders can vote to 2 July. They can also vote at the annual general meeting in St. Petersburg on 28 June. Information on the candidates, voting rules and the online voting form (SCC Elections) are available at the VTB website at: www.vtb.ru/ir/sovet/.
