OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2013. Leonid Ivanovski, Director of Management Consulting Practice, BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT of the Energy Consulting Group has taken up a position as Deputy Head of the Social Industries Panel in the Economic Council under the Saint-Petersburg Governor.

The Economic Council under the Saint-Petersburg Governor has started formation of panels and workshops. Members of Russian Academy of Sciences, leading scientists from Saint-Petersburg, representatives of government officials and famous professionals of different business practices have become chairmen and deputy chairmen of 18 panels. The Council has been ruled by Georgiy Poltavchenko, Saint-Petersburg Governor.

The Macroeconomics and Economic Policy Panel was headed by Abel Aganbegyan, Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, one of the founders of the Russian economic and mathematical scientific school. The Social and Economic Development Forecasting Panel was headed by Victor Ivanter, Member of Academy of Sciences, Head of the National Economy Forecasting Scientific School of Russia. The Investment Policy Panel was headed by Alexei Kudrin, Ex-Finance Minister, Chairman of the Civil Initiatives Committee.

The Social Industries Panel was headed by Irina Eliseeva, Director of the Sociology Institute of RAS, Associate Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Professor Leonid Ivanovski, Doctor of Economics, Director of Management Consulting Practice, BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT of the Energy Consulting Group was assigned to take up a position as Deputy Head of this Social Industries Panel.

The Economic Council is aimed at fostering economic and social development in the city to improve the quality of living in Saint-Petersburg. The main objectives of this Council are expert assessment and estimates of different projects in Economics as well as drafting recommendations for outlining strategic development horizons in the city economics. The first working meeting of the Council was held on April 26, 2013.

The members of the Expert Council have been approved by the City Government according to the competitive selection results.
