Prime Minister of Montenegro Visits Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2013. The first official visit of Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Dukanovic to Ukraine will facilitate to the development of bilateral relations. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov announced during a meeting with his Montenegrin colleague.
“I am convinced deeply that today’s visit will contribute to the development of bilateral relations,” he said.
Mykola Azarov stressed that relations between two countries were developing dynamically, however, trade turnover corresponds to the potential of countries not in full. He suggested to commission respective ministries and departments to prepare documents for activization of cooperation.
Moreover, the head of Government emphasized that Ukraine was interested in stirring up cooperation with Montenegro in four branches, in particular, in energy domain.
“Ukraine produces the whole spectrum of products for energy industry, that’s why power energy for us is an extremely interesting branch for cooperation. Ukraine produces cable production, generators, insulators, we have all necessary products for building of transmission lines and power plants,” the Prime Minister said.
According to him, Ukraine would like to participate in the construction of the national network of gas pipelines in Montenegro.
Mykola Azarov considers opening of direct communication between Kyiv and Podhorytsya will also facilitate to stirring up bilateral cooperation. He added that actual lines appear cooperation in tourist, military technical, agro-industrial and cultural-educational spheres.
Prime Minister proposed in the current year to hold Days of Ukrainian culture in Montenegro and Montenegrin culture days in Ukraine.
In turn, Milo Dukanovic stressed that Montenegro knows about powerful potential of Ukraine in energy sector and called on Ukrainian companies to participate in realization of energy projects in Montenegro.
“Ukraine has an extremely good potential in power energy. Unfortunately, we are not capable to realize huge energy projects, so we invite Ukrainian partners to take part in such projects,” Prime Minister of Montenegro has said.
Besides, Milo Dukanovic thanked to Mykola Azarov for the invitation to participate in work of the first International business conference "ABC: Ukraine & Partners". He added that participating in the conference will be 11 Montenegrin companies.
