FAS Discussed Retail Electric Power Markets
OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2013. Deputy Head of the Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) for Control over Electric Power Industry, Elena Tsyshevskaya, made a presentation at the VIII National Conference of the Non-Commercial Partnership of “Providers of Last Resort and Energy Suppliers”. The Conference discussed the results, problems and prospects of performance of the retail markets of electric power.
Participants looked into the issues related to the latest changes in the regulatory framework of the retail markets of electric power (capacity), a concept of a new model of retail markets and the prospects for energy-supplying business.
Elena Tsyshevskaya gave a presentation about the latest conceptual changes in the antimonopoly law and specially discussed the Action Plan (“Road Map”) for “Developing Competition and Improving the Antimonopoly Policy”.
“Attendees showed a significant interest in the practice of the antimonopoly bodies on using such measure of antimonopoly regulation as warnings”, pointed out Elena Tsyshevskaya summing up the outcome of the Conference. “A hot discussion blazed up on the issues of new market models, social consumption norm and interaction with electric power consumers”
