OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2013. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) terminated the case against rail track manufacturers – “EvrazHolding” Ltd. and “EVRAZ NTMK” OJSC initiated upon signs of unreasonably fixing different prices for the same goods (in breach of Clause 6 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”).

The case was initiated on 7th September 2012. In the course of the investigation, the FAS Commission established that the group of persons comprising “EVRAZ NTMK” OJSC and “EVRAZ ZSMK” OJSC had the dominant position on the markets of rail tracks in the Russian Federation with the market share over 80%. The main buyer of rail tracks is “Russian Railways” OJSC, which consumes around 70% of the total products.

The FAS Commission studies all facts and circumstances that affected the pricing policy of the group of persons of “EvrazHolding” and found that prices fixed for “Russian Railways” OJSC and other Russian buyers were justified. On 6th June 2013 the case against года рассмотрение дела в отношении “EvrazHolding” Ltd., “EVRAZ NTMK” OJSC and “EVRAZ ZSMK” OJSC, included in the same group of persons, was closed due to absence of antimonopoly violations.
