UTair Group Passenger Turnover Grows 15.9% in 5M 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. For the reporting period from January to May 2013, UTair Group passenger turnover constituted 6,654,978.24 PKM, an increase of 15.9% over same period in 2012. The total of passengers transported reached 3,478,145 - an increase of 13.2% over the same period in 2012. UTair aircraft logged at total of 117,915 flight hours. In the first five months of 2013, UTair Group aircraft delivered 11,445.35 tons of cargo, 12.1 % more than for the same period in 2012. Passenger load factor reached 73.80%, 3.6% more than for the same period 2012.
Growing seat occupancy on UTair aircraft and the overall increase in passenger volume represent the increased overall efficiency of UTair passenger transport operations and the results of UTair efforts to create a competitive product combining best practices of networked and low-cost operators, namely a refined balance of comfort and high quality service for reasonable price.
UTair Group rotor wing aircraft logged a total of 55.487 flight hours in the January-May 2013 period. UTair Group helicopters delivered 50,179.46 tons of cargo, 18.5% more than for the same period in 2012. UTair Group helicopters transported 284,465 passengers in the January-May reporting period. Logged flight hours on domestic operations increased 2.9%, demonstrating the effectiveness of strategic measures to increase the airline's order portfolio on the domestic market.
