OREANDA-NEWS. June 14, 2013. The number of IT specialists in Ukraine will increase fourfold over five years.

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov informed during his meeting with an IT-specialist Yehor Anchishkin.

“Two years ago we took a series of measures directed to the support of IT branch, simplifying of making business, taxation and, in particular, training specialists. We determined our basic higher educational institutions, improved their financing and expect that during 5 years they will increase fourfold the number of IT specialists,” Mykola Azarov has said.

He reminded that in the current year the Government had upped the state order for training of specialists of IT area.

The Premier stressed that just the development of innovation economic branches with high added value, in particular, gives chance to increase VAT in short terms.

In turn, Yehor Anchishkin stressed that owing to relevantly organized marketing in mass media it proved possible to increase significantly drawing of funds into IT branch.

“Venture capitalists who possess funds in dozens, hundred millions dollars, they could invest into Ukraine. But now they are under the influence of an image created by media. In Ukraine, most of all relevant marketing in media could help,” the IT specialist expressed his view.

He added these days it was necessary to advance information concerning attractiveness of Ukrainian IT market in specialized foreign media, as in Ukraine there had been created favourable conditions for IT development and the potential investors were not aware about that.
