First Vice PM of Ukraine Met with World Bank Delegation
OREANDA-NEWS. June 13, 2013. The First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Sehiy Arbuzov has met with delegation of the World Bank chaired by recently appointed World Bank Executive Director Frank Heemskerk who leads a Group of states where Ukraine is included. In the course of the meeting the parties discussed strategic issues of further cooperation.
Serhiy Arbuzov pointed out there exists positive dynamics of cooperation with organization of the World Bank Group and also assured the delegates in readiness of Ukraine to broaden directions and spheres of cooperation, in particular, in the work on new projects. Moreover, it was suggested to renew the project of direct budget support and increase limits of crediting for a package of Ukraine’s blueprints.
Frank Heemskerk emphasized active realization of Ukrainian portfolio of projects and readiness of the World Bank to further deepen cooperation. The interlocutors agreed on future interaction in preparation of the next session of the Group of states which is to be held in the end of May of the following year in Ukraine. The previous sitting was held in June in Georgia.
