Ukraine Has Not Considered Introduction of Tax for Rest Abroad
OREANDA-NEWS. June 13, 2013. At his page in Facebook Mykola Azarov assured that the Government had not viewed any issues concerning levy of tax on rest abroad.
“The Cabinet of Ministers has not considered any propositions concerning introducing any new draft law joined with tax on rest abroad,” the head of Government underlined.
According to him, at a Government’s session on June 3 they heard a report of the head of the State Agency for Tourism and Resorts concerning activity of the department and discussed an issue concerning a possibility to introduce a one-time charge which could be used to compensate possible loss to a tourist.
“It concerns only a one-time charge which could be used to compensate for a tourist any loss he could suffer while staying abroad. Such a norm exists in many countries, but for now it is only an idea and it has not been made into a normative document yet. This was discussed during the Government’s session,” Mykola Azarov explained.
At this, he reminded that the State Agency for Tourism and Resorts had been commissioned to elaborate the Program of development of Ukrainian tourist branch through 2023.
