Japanese Business Can Invest into Environmental Projects in Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. June 13, 2013. In the course of an official visit to Japan Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine Oleh Proskuryakov has met with deputy of Advisors’ Chamber of the Parliament of Japan, leader of New Komeito party.
During the meeting Minister Oleh Proskuryakov emphasized the support of the Parliament of Japan and the ruling coalition in the issues of maintaining cooperation between Japan and Ukraine in the area of overcoming consequences of accidents on nuclear power stations the Fukushima-1 and Chornobyl NPS and renewal of contaminated adjacent territories played a significant role.
In turn, Japanese party stressed that nowadays rather significant interest existed among Japanese business with regards to investing into ecologically focused infrastructure projects in Ukraine and readiness of the ruling coalition to facilitate drawing of Japanese investments into Ukraine.
Minister Oleh Proskuryakov emphasized that the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine was prepared to be a mediator between Japanese corporations and Ukrainian companies in maintaining partnership ties.
“Respect and reliability are main principles of Japanese business and we are striving to develop cooperation with Ukraine according to just such principle,” Oleh Proskuryakov accentuated.
