OREANDA-NEWS. Ambassadors of 17 countries visited ANTONOV Company by initiative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Among them were ambassadors from: Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Qatar, People Republic of Bangladesh, Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Republic of Ghana, Republic of Sierra Leone, Republic of Namibia, Republic of Uganda, Federative Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Republic of Ecuador, Republic of Zimbabwe, Republic of Angola, Republic of Djibouti, Republic of Zambia, Republic of Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea, Republic of Yemen.

Members of the delegation visited assembly shop where the regional jet of the AN-148/158 family are being manufactured, examined piloting stands of ANTONOV Company including modern complex simulator of the AN-148, test stands of the AN airplanes’ units and systems.

On negotiations on discussing possible directions of cooperation representatives of foreign states noted multifunctionality of the ANs, their adaptability to the different conditions of operation including wide range of climatic and weather conditions. Especial attention was paid to the airplanes of the AN-148/158 family, including VIP-variants and those for especial purposes – the AN-148-300MP for maritime patrolling and the AN-148-100EM ambulance one. In their opinion those machines may be efficiently used by commercial and state carriers.
