OREANDA-NEWS. An ocean cargo vessel "M/V Orient 1" that is used for cattle transportation came to Kaliningrad harbor from the USA with another group of animals of Aberdeen-Angus breed on June 2. The total size of the herd group that arrived there was 2 687 heads of cattle.

On vessels` arrival the team of Kaliningrad Beef Company, plc. took the delivery of 279 bulls. The cattle were brought to Ozyorskiy district of Kaliningrad region by specialized container vehicles where the company is implementing the project of highly productive beef cattle livestock breeding. The cattle were placed at Dubrava, Kadymka and Karamyshevo farms.

"M/V Orient 1" vessel came to Ust-Luga port (St. Petersburg region) on June 4. The team of Bryansk Beef Company, plc. which is a division of ABH Miratorg took the delivery of 2408 heads of cattle that were transported to Bryansk region afterwards. Totally 73 specialized multi-purpose animal cargo trucks and container vehicles were used in the process of cattle transportation.

Cattle were brought to Potchep district of Bryansk region on June 5. 2 231 heifers and 177 bulls were placed at Pervomayskoye farm.

A specialized ocean cargo vessel "NADA" that is used for cattle transportation came to Novorossiysk harbor from Australia with another group of animals of Aberdeen-Angus breed on June 8. The total size of the herd group that arrived there was 15 743 heads of cattle.

The team of ABH Miratorg took the delivery of cattle and transported it to Bryansk region. Totally 265 animal cargo trucks and container vehicles were used in the process of cattle transportation.

On June 10 3 677 heifers and 130 bulls were brought to “Krasniye Kosary” farm (Mglin district), 3 600 heifers were brought to Norino farm (Zhiryatino district), 3 678 heifers and 129 bulls were brought to Akulichi farm (Kletnya district) and 4 400 heifers and 129 bulls were brought to Voronok farm (Starodub district).

All the cattle shipped from the USA is considered to be healthy and placed for quarantine procedure that will last for 45 days.

The delivery of another cattle group to Bryansk region is planned for June 18. 4 500 heads of cattle are expected to come from the USA that will be placed at Rubcha farm of Zhiryatino district.

At the present moment the total amount of cattle placed on the territory of Kaliningrad region is more than 19000 heads (including 6 600 calves that were born at the farms of Kaliningrad region). The construction of 28 cattle farms is completed in Bryansk region including 22 farms with the animals of Aberdeen-Angus breed that came there from Australia and the USA and the total amount of cattle placed at Bryansk region is more than 115 000 heads of cattle (including 25 400 calves that were born in 2012-2013 at Bryansk region farms that belong to ABH Miratorg).
