OREANDA-NEWS. June 11, 2013. The total throughput of Klaipeda Port and in Butinges terminal in May of 2013 totalled 3,03 mln. tn, i.e. more by 4,7 % or by 136,0 thou. tn if to compare with the corresponding period of 2012. 

The cargo handling turnover in Klaipeda Port in May of 2013 reached 2,54 mln. tn, (the year-on-year change was  -9,3%  or -260,6 thou. tn), meanwhile 496,7 thou. tn of cargo were handled at  Butinges terminal (+396,1 % or +396,6 thou. tn).

- Crude oil  ( 496,7 thou. tn were handled,   +396,1 % or +396,6 thou. tn);

- oil products (498,1 thou. tn were handled,  +15,5 % or 66,73 thou. tn);

- natural and chemical fertilizers (liquid) ( 84,7 thou. tn were handled, +28,6 % or +18,8 thou. tn);

- raw and processed minerals and construction materials  (161,3 thou. tn were handled, +21,2 % or +28,2 thou. tn) were the categories of cargo that made the greatest impact on cargo handling turnover.
