OREANDA-NEWS. Three types of serial products of TITANSPETSKONT LLC were once again tested and inspected at the Centre for Certification of Equipment, Products and Technologies for Nuclear Units, Radiation Sources and Storage Points – ANO “Atomsertifika”

After the periodical inspection the Authority has issued a decision that the following products:

• ferro-concrete protective container ZhZK-1 for low-activity solid radioactive wastes, certificate of compliance ROSS RU.0001.01АE00.47.10.1826

• ferro-concrete protective container ZhZK-2 for medium-activity solid radioactive wastes, certificate of compliance ROSS RU.0001.01АE00.47.10.1827

• ferro-concrete protective container ZhZK for solidified liquid radioactive wastes, certificate of compliance ROSS RU.0001.01АE00.47.10.1828 -

still comply with the requirements set during their certification.

The inspection targeted the products manufactured, their current technical documentation, standardisation documentation, as well as entailed tests and expert examination of the materials used. As concluded by the commission, the conditions of manufacturing processes fully ensure stable indicators and characteristics of the specialist products.

These documents once again confirms that the production processes at TITANSPETSKONT LLC, which were certified under the OIT Certification System, still show no changes likely to affect the quality of its products and the company still meets the current federal norms and regulations for the use of nuclear power that regulate the operations with RAO. The protection, endurance and service-life characteristics of these products meet the level of their overseas counterparts, while the price of their production is considerably lower than the imported products of the same characteristics. These containers are included in the Rosatom Register of containers and packaging recommended for the use at the nuclear power facilities.

Today TITANSPETSKONT LLC relies on the service of its highly qualified staff and own production facilities, which include a manufacture of 5638 m2, as well as a storage facility of 4396 m2 and a full set of production and engineering equipment. The annual container manufacturing programme plans the production of 3000 units of this product.

TITANSPETSKONT LLC is a subsidiary of the Holding TITAN-2, it was established in 2006. Its core activities are the production of certified ferro-concrete protection containers for RAO, manufacturing of concrete and ferro-concrete products, manufacturing of equipment for stationary facilities and structures for storage of radioactive wastes. The company has the resources to ship containers by road and railway transport.
