OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2013. Most of them fell on general insurance, making 92% (MDL 213.4 million) and 8% (MDL 18.4 million) falling on life insurance, the National Commission on Financial Market informs.

The structure of the premiums included 52.4% (MDL 213.4 million) of the motor vehicle liability premiums, MDL 47.03 million falling on Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance premiums and MDL 57.93 million falling on Green Card premiums. CASCO premiums made up MDL 39.3 million or 18.4% in the structure of general insurance.

In first three months of the year, insurance companies attracted premiums in fire and natural calamities insurance at a sum of MDL 12.3 million; health insurance premiums of MDL 9.37 million, including MDL 4.8 in the internal health insurance; property insurance premiums of MDL 5.9 million, whereof MDL 0.8 million were received from agricultural insurance; air civil liability premiums of MDL 5.9 million; financial losses insurance premiums of MDL 1.49 million; civil liability insurance premiums of MDL 4.2 million.

In January-March, 2013 Moldasig – MDL 59.78 million (25.8%), Moldcargo – MDL 42.15 million (18.1%), Asito – MDL 38.7 million (16.7%), Grawe Carat Asigurari – MDL 28.07 million (12.1%), and Donaris-Group – MDL 19.1 million (8.2%) were the leaders by amounts of the premiums. They made the 81% of the insurance market by amounts of the premiums collected. Clients of insurance companies of Moldova include the 38.3% share of households and 48.5% of non-financial enterprises.

At the moment, there are 17 insurance companies in Moldova. The National Commission for Financial Market didn’t publish the data on Euroasig, which did not submit the report.
