SUEK's Tugnui Open-Pit Mine Sets New World Record In Blasthole Drillin
OREANDA-NEWS. A new world record in drilling was set at Tugnui open-pit mine run by SUEK. In May 2013, the crew operating Pit Viper - 271 drill No. 4483 drilled 50,499 rm of blast holes, thus beating the previous year record.
The crew operating Pit Viper - 271 No. 4483 including S. F. Khromov, P. A. Molchanov, A. N. Goryunov, V. V. Gorodetsky, D. O. Dolgolev, A. V. Nikiforov and D. S. Khromov set a new world record in blasthole drilling. This is yet another proof of their high professional level and the team work efficiency of Tugnui open-pit mine staff.
The previous world record in drilling was set by Yury Yegorov's crew operating Pit Viper-271 rig No.4603 at Tugnui open-pit mine in November 2012. Then the total depth of the drilled blastholes amounted to 42,520 running meters.
