OREANDA-NEWS. A temporary waiting pavilion for passengers of international flights arriving in St.Petersburg was opened on the airside of Arrivals in Pulkovo 2 Terminal.

A 600 square meters air conditioned pavilion has everything that passengers might need to feel comfortable, armchairs, coolers with drinking water, WCs. There are also facilities for passengers with limited mobility. Up to 500 passengers can be accommodated in the building at the same time.

In order to improve quality of services for passengers, a new Gate (No.9) on Level 1 of Pulkovo 2 Terminal was put into operation. Capacity of Pulkovo 1 Terminal capacity grew with a new Gate 12 for domestic and international flights.

Temporary waiting pavilion is part of the NCG program to update an internal infrastructure of the terminals effective from 2010, when the NCG became Pulkovo airport operator. These measures aim at improving quality of passengers` stay in the terminals before the new Terminal is put into operation in December 2013.
