PM Urges Kazakh and Latvian Businesses to Intensify Contacts
OREANDA-NEWS. June 05, 2013. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov and Latvian President Andris Berzins attended the Kazakh-Latvian business forum that has been opened in Astana.
The Head of the Kazakh Government noted the "broad prospects for cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries" and proposed "to fully use the existing potential of bilateral relations."
Akhmetov also urged Kazakhstan and Latvian entrepreneurs to actively establish business contacts, set up joint ventures in the industrial sector, processing industry, agriculture and tourism.
"We are open to your business ideas and investment. Our country has all the conditions for the creation of joint ventures with new technologies that can produce competitive products," he said.
The Latvian President also stressed the need for "a more in-depth approach to the expansion of ties in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres."
