OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2013. In February 2013 the enterprise received 500 tonnes of polypropylene according to the full technological cycle, thus starting commercial production of quality modern polymer. Nowadays "Poliom" plant of 180 kt capacity is working with design capacity - 22,5 tonnes of polypropylene per hour. Currently total volume of produced goods measured in tonnes is approaching the 30-thousand mark.

Polypropylene which is produced on the enterprise conforms with technical requirements by basic indices: granulometric composition, melt molding index, bend resilience module, mass fraction of volatile substances, mass fraction of ash, molding limit at stretching, relative elongation etc.

Among consumers the Omsk polypropylene has already been appreciated and enjoys popularity. The plant offloads daily approximately 600-700 tonnes of goods which are shipped to Russian and foreign processors of feedstock.

Let us mention that ceremonial opening of Omsk polypropylene plant took place on April 25 with participation of federal and regional authorities, financial institutions, science and business.

As the basis the production of Omsk polypropylene uses Spheripol process developed by the company LyondellBasell Industries (Netherlands). The plant structure includes a liquefied hydrocarbon gases storage facility, a polymerization unit and an extrusion unit, a hydrogen station, a ready products prepacking, packing and offloading unit, a propane-propylene
fraction partition unit, and also a laboratory complex furnished with modern imported equipment.

The project was realized on conditions of state-private partnership with attraction of funds from State Corporation "Bank of Development and Foreign Economic Activity (Vnesheconombank)".
