OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2013. Dr. Sun Jiakang, Executive Vice-President of COSCO Group attended the International Transport Forum 2013 in Leipzig, Germany and participated in the ministerial roundtable discussion which was themed on Financing Sustainable Transport.

At the closed-door discussion, Dr. Sun addressed COSCO Group's stance on mutually concerned issues in reaching sustained maritime industry, and he also shared COSCO Group's experience in energy saving, emission reduction, and green shipping practices. 

The International Transport Forum so far is the highest level of mechanism in global transportation industry. It aims at providing a platform for global transportation policy makers and industry players.

The ministerial roundtable discussion is one of the key sessions at the ITF, and the discussion was also attended by governmental policy makers and industry organizations including Frederic Cuvillier, Minister of Transport and the Maritime Economy of France; Merja Kyllonen, Minister of Transport of Finland; Carl-Johan Hagman, Stena Shipping AB and Paolo Costa, President of Venice Port Authority.
