Belarus' Beer Output Reduced 5.8%/yr in Jan-Apr 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus’ beer output decreased 5.8% on the year in January-April 2013 to 13.151 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told.
In April alone Belarus’ beer output reduced 0.9% on the year to 3.7395 million dal; up 9.2% on month.
OJSC Krinitsa, based in Minsk, produced 4.091 million decaliters of beer, down 6% on the year.
OJSC Brest Beer produced 485,900 decalitres of beer, down 43.3%.
OJSC Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 2.698 million decaliters of beer in January-April 2013, a decrease of 1.5% on the year.
Heineken Belarus (Heineken Breweries based in Bobruisk, Rechitsapivo based in Gomel Region), decreased beer output 13.4% to 3.228 million decaliters.
OJSC Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in Grodno Region, increased beer output 14.8% to 2.547 million decaliters.
Other beer manufacturers increased beer output 47.3% year on year in January-April 2013 to 100,200 dal (including 69,600 dal produced by Polotskoye Pivo), down 46.6%.
Beer output in plastic bottles accounts for 79.7% of the total output at 10.481 million decaliters (down 8.8%), beer in glass bottles – 13.2% to 1.733 million decaliters (up 7.1%), beer in kegs 6.4% at 836,600 decaliters (up 10.4%) and beer in cans - 0.8% at 100,800 dal (down 5.8%).
Belarusian beer supplies to domestic wholesalers and retailers decreased 8.2% on the year in January-April 2013 to 10.204 million decaliters.
Heineken Belarus’ beer supplies to the domestic market reduced 11.1% year on year in January-April 2013 to 3.009 million dal; OJSC Krinitsa – down 18.4% to 2.463 dal; OJSC Olivaria – up 6.8% to 2.37 million dal; OJSC Brest Beer – down 51.6% to 286,800 dal. Lidskoye Pivo increased supplies to the domestic market by 9% to 2.041 million dal.
Belarusian companies’ export of beer grew 20.3% in Jan-Apr 2013 to 2.216 decaliters.
