OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2013. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has named top-priority measures to ensure the development of tourist industry of Ukraine during a session of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to him, primarily it proves necessary to create optimal normative-legal grounds of development of the area to correspond to the EU directives and recommendations of World Tourism Organization, to make changes to the Laws of Ukraine “On tourism” and “On resorts” and also to improve Regulations on the State Agency of Ukraine on Tourism and Resorts, to elaborate necessary technical regulations and national standards.

Besides, Mykola Azarov emphasized it was necessary to ensure rational use and protection of tourist recreation resources by ways of passportization, inventory and complex evaluation of the state of tourists’ objects to comply with modern conditions.

And, finally, to create a system of state support to the development of tourist industry and resorts by elaborating a concept and draft State Target Program on the development of tourism and resorts up to 2023.
