OREANDA-NEWS. Small innovation companies, as well as individuals implementing innovation projects in association with technology parks or small business incubators are now entitles to receive financial support from the Government of Belarus at early stages of their innovation projects.

The president of Belarus signed an ordinance to this effect on May 20, 2013, the president’s press-service reports.

The funding will be provided in instalments and tranches from the Belarusian Innovation Fund. A tender commission of the Government Committee on Science and Technologies will process applications and earmark funds for approved innovative projects. Short-listed projects are supposed to meet a series of criteria.

The ordinance will become effective in six months.
