OREANDA-NEWS. Vladimir Putin conducted the business meeting with representatives of Russian business community organized in Voronezh. The meeting was dedicated to the development of domestic entrepreneurship and modernization of legislation. The meeting attended by over 90 businessmen was organized in coincidence with the Russian Entrepreneur Day.

The discussion moderated by Boris Titov, Business ombudsman, included the speeches of Sergey Katyrin, Head of Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Alexander Galushka, Co-Chariman of All-Russia Business Association “Delovaya Rossiya” (“Business Russia”), Alexander Brechalov, Head of “Opora Rossii”, Oleg Deripaska, Chairman of Supervisory Board “Bazovy Element”, Alexey Repik, Chairman of the Board “R-Pharm group” and other businessmen.

Alexey Repik highlighted the importance of governmental support of new hi-tech industries able to create many new jobs. He also paid attention to positive dynamics of pharmaceutical growth market and dynamics of development of domestic pharmaceutical industry. His company, “R-Pharm group” contributed into its development by constructing the most modern state-of-the-art manufacturing site of finished dosage forms (Yaroslavl) in Europe. Alexey Repik also noted the barriers complicating the growth of competitive local successful companies - severe competition; hidden export limitations for the domestic goods on the external markets in terms of WTO regulations; almost total dependence on imported pharmaceutical substances; and lack of investors’ motivation for creation of domestic substance synthesis manufacturing sites. Also there were made several propositions including the idea of establishing a domestic drugs priority in government procurement actions.
