OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2013. About 65.8% of industrial enterprises of Moldova are concentrated in the municipality of Chisinau, the South Development region and Gagauzia being the least industrially-developed regions of Moldova with 4% and 2.4% of industrial enterprises respectively.

According t NBS, in Q1, 2013, the output of industrial enterprises of the municipality of Chisinau amounted to MDL 4.45 billion or 65.8%; the output of the Centre development region enterprises was MDL 0.94 billion or 14%; it was MDL 0.93 billion or 13.8% in the North development region; MDL 0.26 billion (4%) in the South development region and MDL 0.16 billion or 2.4% in Gagauzia.

The total amount of the industrial production sold in this period, or MDL 7.17 billion, included 72.9% exported from the South development region, 63.1% exported from Gagauzia and 54.1% exported from the Centre development region. As it was reported earlier, in Q1, 2013, industrial production amounted to MDL 6771.6 million in Moldova, 1.5% up as compared with the same period of the past year.
