SEB Publishes Sustainability Report for 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2013. SEB has published its sustainability report for 2012. The report, which is the sixth since the start, describes how far the bank has come within eight prioritised areas.
Cecilia Wideback West responsible for sustainability within SEB: "We want social and environmental concerns to be part of every business decision. We are well on our way in that aspect. It is a matter of how we work with credits, how we make investment decisions and how we act as an owner and employer."
The Chairman of the Board of SEB banka Ainars Ozols: "SEB banka is environmental friendly bank, looking back to 2012 we have supported 172 house renovations, improving energy efficiency. Amount of energy which has been consumed in office and branches of SEB in all Baltic states had decreased by 17 percent. One of our priorities is care of next generation, for that reason SEB Latvia supports children from SOS Children's Villages, Livslust Foundation, as well as Mentor programme giving care and support to children from social unfriendly families."
SEB business shall be underpinned by strong ethics and good governance, long term relationships and highly committed people delivering the corporate strategy and managing the social and environmental impact of our business.
