OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2013. IBC in cooperation with Public Association "Public-Orivate PArtnership Support" (PPPS) held a press-cafe to infroam journalists from leading mass media outlets about agriculture development policy elaborated in previous national economic development srategies and answer their questions.
 
“Fighting poverty is the main priority of all development strategies. The National Strategy for Sustainable Development (NSSD) is also aimed at increasing production output of agro-industrial complex, improving product quality and ensuring food security in the country. We hope that SWOT-analysis carried out by our project consortium will help take into account previously made mistakes and shortcomings in order to develop a strategy that could be actually accomplished,” commented Project Manager Aktilek Tungatarov.

The series of press-cafe is planned in the framework of the project titled “Towards designing a roadmap for a 20-year national economic development strategy in Kyrgyzstan” and funded by USAID Local Development Program. IBC and PPPS are responsible for the implementation of the project.

Press-cafe is a good platform for communication between the Government, business, and mass media. In informal setting journalists can get first-hand information and increase their awareness about problems of entrepreneurs.

Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Melioration, Microfinance Bank “Bai Tushum and Partners”, Aiyl Bank, Sut Bulak LLC, Dyikan Plus LLC, Tokmokplodoovosh LLC, Organic Movement Federation “Bio-KG”, Eurasia Group LLC, Kulikovskiy LLC participated in the press-cafe.
