OREANDA-NEWS. The results of a competition for development of design documentation for construction of a bridge across the Zeya River in Blagoveshchensk have been published. Four companies were bidding. The Competition Commission gave preference to the tender from OJSC USK MOST. The type of the bridge is to be defined later based on a discussion of different cases.

The design must be prepared within 19 months. All design cases will be discussed at public hearings. The commission will then choose the case that is the most suitable for the city and specify the location for construction.

Construction work is expected to begin in 2014.
