OREANDA-NEWS. The Aviation Register of the Interstate Aviation Committee has granted the application of Aviadvigatel for the certification of the PD-14 engine.

In accordance with requirements of the Technical Requirement for the design and development of the advanced PD-14 engine, the certification basis was developed by Aviadvigatel specialists in compliance with the currently effective airworthiness standards: the AP-33 aircraft engine safety operation standards and the AP-34 aircraft engine emission standards.

Now that the AR IAC approval is received at Aviadvigatel the widespread efforts has been launched on the preparation for the certification procedure - the comprehensive  set of the documentation is being developed and drawn up which represents the process of the implementation of the "The PD-14 Engine for the MS-21 Aircraft" project.

The passing of the first certification stage, the Mockup Committee, is scheduled for the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2013. The following will be submitted to AR IAC evaluators: the certification test programme draft, the electronic dummy of the product and other materials on the Project.

The following certification stage will be shop tests of the PD-14.
