OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2013. CBA specialists held a workshop on organization of monetary units expertise at an education center of the Bank of Baku OJSC for bank employees and interns engaged in the relevant area within a series of events implied for commercial banks.

The workshop participants were informed on the philosphy of monetary units, organization and maintenance of monetary units expertise in the banking system, the role and policy of the CBA in anti-money counterfeiting etc.

Most banks installed POS-terminals and ATMs with the Cash-in function to automate banking services, intensify and stimulate cashless payments, and rise the level of servicing of the population.

However, to minimize risks of identification of counterfeit banknotes when applying the above systems in some instances, it is necessary to discuss the issue with relevant structural units of the CBA.

To note, the CBA holds ongoing events to increase the level of servicing of the population in commercial banks, minimize risks of counterfeiting of the national currency, and raise awareness of employees. Banks are also provided with relevant technical assistance.
