OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2013. In January-April of 2013 subdivisions of Kola MMC (MMC Norilsk Nickel’s subsidiary) received new equipment for the total amount of RUB 214 mln as part of equipment renewal program. In total, the Company acquired 92 units of various equipment.

In particular, nickel electrolysis shop was equipped with two polymer concrete cells. In the refining shop a new bridge grabbing crane, a heat exchanger and an electric filter was installed. Concentrator received a spiral classifier, and Severny Mine was supplied with an electric locomotive.

Re-equipment program covers all basic structural units of Kola MMC, its subsidiaries and affiliates. In 2013 under renewal program the Company is to purchase equipment for the total amount of RUB 1.2 bln
