OREANDA-NEWS. Specialists of “TITAN-2” Holding`s subsidiary – OJSC “SMU-90” – currently install embedded parts under the turbine plant frame of the first power unit of LNPP-2.

Assembly work is distinguished for its high accuracy, because the main intended use of the embedded parts is fixation of the engineering equipment of the turbine hall in special vibration-isolating foundations, on which the main equipment of the turbine building of the first power unit will be installed.

After completion of such work, specialists from another subsidiary of the Holding – OJSC “UAT” - will perform the final stage of foundation pouring concrete.

Installation of embedded parts and concrete pouring should be completed in the first half of June, whereafter the constructors will be able to start work on installing the turbine unit consisting of a turbine, generator and other equipment of the second circuit of the plant.

TITAN-2 is one of the contractors involved in construction and installation works at the power units 1 and 2 of the Leningrad NPP-2.

Over 30% of the general construction work and 80% of assembly work of the total volume of construction and assembly work and commissioning operations are performed by the company`s efforts.

145 construction sites are simultaneously underway at the new site of Leningrad NPP. The holding's own specialists are involved at 42 sites of the 1st and 2nd power units of LNPP-2. The works involve operations with the reactor hall, turbine, power supply, water supply and other facilities of the power units. In total, the project of new LNPP-2 comprises 270 main and auxiliary facilities.
