OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2013. President of Tajikistan Emomalii Rahmon paid a visit to China National Petroleum Corporation and had a friendly discussion with CNPC Chairman Zhou Jiping on promoting cooperation in oil and gas businesses.

Witnessed by President Rahmon and Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan Fan Xianrong, Mr. Zhou and Tajikistan’s Minister of Energy and Industry Sherali Gul signed a framework agreement on strengthening oil and gas cooperation between CNPC and the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Under the agreement, the two sides will reinforce joint efforts in oil and gas exploration and development in Tajikistan.
