OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2013.  “We are interested in further intensification of political contacts with China at all levels,” the President said at the meeting with Vice chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China Xu Qiliang.

The Head of State called the development of Ukrainian-Chinese trade-economic cooperation a key part of bilateral relations.

“Functioning of Intergovernmental Commission on cooperation between Ukraine and China and of sectoral subcommissions is an important factor of intensification of bilateral trade-economic cooperation,” Viktor Yanukovych stressed.

The Head of State also emphasized that Ukraine considered China as one of the most important partners in the spheres of military and military-technical cooperation and was ready to enhance those promising directions.

In his turn, Vice chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China Xu Qiliang noted that Ukraine was also an important partner for China. “We are also willing to enhance our strategic partnership, continue our traditional friendship and strengthen mutually beneficial relations,” he said.

Vice Chairman conveyed to the President of Ukraine greetings from the President of the People's Republic of China.
