OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2013. Rais Salikhovich Khisamov, Deputy General Director - Chief Geologist of JSC TATNEFT, has been elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The election of R.S. Khisamov as corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan on specialization in "Geology, prospecting and exploration of oil and gas fields" took place at the annual general meeting of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, where his active scientific work and significant contribution to the research development in the oil industry was pointed out.

There are 240 doctors and candidates of science successfully working at TATNEFT Group of Companies. Among them there are 17 Doctors of Engineering Science, 6 Doctors of Economic Science, 3 Doctors of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, 2 Doctors of Philosophy, 114 Candidates of Engineering Science, 47 Candidates of Economic Science, 19 Candidates of Geology and Mineralogy, 8 Candidates of Chemistry, 6 Candidates of Physics and Mathematics, 4 Candidates of Sociology, 2 Candidates of Law, 2 Candidates of Psychology, 2 Candidates of Pedagogical Science, 2 Candidates of Political Science, 2 Candidates of Medicine, one Candidate of Geographical Science, one Candidate of Historical Science, one Candidate of Philology and 1 Candidate of Science in Public Administration.
