OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2013. Decisions adopted at the 22nd meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Belarusian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in the near future to help resolve the problems of Ukrainian business in Belarus. The First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov said this during a press conference held after the meeting.

"You know that recently the Cabinet of Ministers invited business that works with the Republic of Belarus on the meeting, we listened all problems. And today I received a reply that in these positions work has been began. I can say with confidence, all commitments that Ukrainian government has taken to business, will be implemented this year," Serhii Arbuzov said.

He noted that the following meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission allows most effectively resolve issues between countries.

"In many issues, even very simple, we find understanding. Because, first of all, we should protect interests of the business of our countries and take into account the wishes of our citizens. We are fraternal republics, so we always find solutions," said the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Serhii Arbuzov said that Ukrainian-Belarusian relations are at a very high level. This is confirmed by the figures, trade between the two countries in 2012 reached 7.5 billion dollars, compared to 2011 its growth is 18%.

First Vice Prime Minister is confident that future relations between Ukraine and Belarus will only grow. This is especially true about trade and economic sphere. So, talking about large number of Belarusian goods in our country, Serhiy Arbuzov said: "I would like to our products and, in particular, confectionery, could be represented in Belarus as well as represented Belarusian products in Ukraine."

By-turn, First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko praised the results of the Commission and stressed that Belarus is interested in further development of cooperation.

The Protocol, which the parties signed today, will also facilitate to this and it includes the positions of Ukraine and Belarus on all relevant issues. In addition, it is also important the signing of Agreement on inter-regional and cross-border cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus.
