Kazakh Government to Develop Road Sector
OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2013. "On the instruction of the President, for the past 10 years the government allocated much money for the construction of new roads. The implementation of mega-projects, which are unique for the CIS countries, is underway.
In Kyzylorda region the length of the new road is 800 km. It is also planned to carry out the projects on the construction of the highways Astana-Almaty, Astana-Pavlodar, Astana-Ust-Kamenogorsk, Almaty-Khorgos, Almaty-Kapchagai. Over the years the road companies gained very good experience and it will fundamentally change the situation in the construction of local roads," he said.
As part of the reform of the road sector Kazakhstan introduces a system of payment for the use of roads.
"This year, such a system will be launched on the highway Astana-Borovoye," the head of the Cabinet noted.
The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Transport and Communications "to ensure implementation of the projects "Western Europe-Western China", "Astana-Almaty", "Astana-Pavlodar" according to schedule, timely disbursement of funds, and high quality of road works. Akimats of the regions, Astana and Almaty cities and Transport and Communications Ministry were instructed to create conditions for the quality construction of roads.
Summing up the discussion of the organization of health improvement camps for children during the summer holidays, the Prime Minister instructed "to maximize the coverage of children with the organized summer holiday."
According to the Prime Minister’s instruction, about 300 million tenge, which is by 210 million tenge more compared to last year, is allocated from the local budgets this year for free holidays for gifted children.
The Ministry of Emergencies, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Regional Development, regional akimats, Almaty and Astana akimats were instructed to take all necessary measures to ensure children’s safety during the summer vacation. In addition, Akhmetov has instructed the Regional Development Ministry in cooperation with the akimats of the regions, Astana and Almaty cities to continue to equip and strengthen the material and technical base of summer camps.
