OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2013. Joint actions on the potash fertilizers market and prospects of cooperation were discussed at the meeting of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Suleyman Kerimov, a member of the upper chamber of the Russian parliament, a shareholder of Uralkali.

Alexander Lukashenko believes that in present conditions the sides should strengthen their unity in selling potash fertilizers.

“Any attempts to act on one’s own, particularly now when we have created a single company to sell potash fertilizers, will only damage Uralkali on the one hand and Belaruskali on the other hand,” said the head of state. “We are not trying to hide that we will bolster our actions towards unity on the potash fertilizers market”.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed it was the view of the Belarusian state shared by everyone – from the head of the company that manufactures potash fertilizers to the president of the country.
The head of state remarked that he was ready to hear out any proposals of the Russian side within the framework of this concept.
