OREANDA-NEWS. The decree signed by the president of the Russian Federation commemorated the contribution of the NPO Saturn employees.

The medal of the order “Contribution to the State” of II degree was awarded to, as follows:

- for the excellent performance and many years of diligent work – NPO Saturn deputy chief engineer for repair operations Alexander Ivanovich Kel;

- for the significant contribution to the fortification of the country’s defense potential, design and development of new special-purpose applications and many years of diligent work – NPO Saturn first deputy chief engineer Nikolay Leonidovich Komshin.

The distinguished title “Honorable machine builder of the Russian Federation” was awarded to, as follows:

- for the significant contribution to the fortification of the country’s defense potential, design and development of new special-purpose applications and many years of diligent work – NPO Saturn NC-machines and manipulators set-up category 5 engineer, Alexey Aleksandrovich Bespalov;

- for the excellent performance in the filed of machine building and many years of diligent work – NPO Saturn first deputy general designer - chief designer of the A. Lyulka R&D center Vladimir Valentinovich Kiryukhin.

The Russian Federation state awards ceremony was held on 16 May 2013 at the Yaroslavl art museum. The awards were presented by the governor of Yaroslavl region Sergey Yastrebov.

Ilya Fedorov, NPO Saturn chief executive officer, having appreciated the event, noted: “The objectives set before the United Engine Corporation and NPO Saturn are vast. They can be handled only by the real professionals such as those people whose contribution to the company’s cause we are celebrating today. The technical workmanship of the operators, production engineers and design engineers as well as their tremendous experience and ability to pass it on to the youth help achieve the set objectives with relation to preparing the company for serial production of the future products and facilitate the development of not only NPO Saturn but of the entire national gas-turbine engine industry”.
