OREANDA-NEWS. The last drill before being put into use with 1200 passengers acted by college students was held on the morning of May 18. The drill lasted for nearly 3 hours.

"12 arrival and departure flights including 8 domestic flights, 2 international flights and 2 regional flights were presumed for the drill."said one of staff members.

1200 "passengers" were divided into different flights. And these "passengers" served as travellers of first-class, business class and economy class. The procedure went smoothly.

"The transcation of old and new airports is a complicated system and it is full of challenge because the operation of two airports must be guaranteed at the same time." said the related responsible person with Leading Group of Transcation of Hefei Airports.

The drill ended successfully at about 11:00 am. The drill showed that Xinqiao Airport was qualified for operation at scheduled time.
