ICBC Lushan Board Bank Opens to Business
OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2013. In the morning of April 28, ICBC's "Board Bank" in quake-stricken area in Ya'an Lushan of Sichuan was officially open. Customers thronged into this "Board Bank" located on the side of the Yingbin Road opposite to the Lushan Broadcast and TV Center.
At the entrance, a customer after finishing banking business said happily: "I heard ICBC Board Bank is open today, so I came here to transfer money. The service is very convenient, no different from the ICBC outlet in the big building, although the Board Bank looks shabby."
An executive with ICBC Sichuan Branch said, ICBC set up the "Board Bank" overnight on April 27 in order to provide better financial services to the earthquake victims. Two more ATMs were installed in the affected area. The "Board Bank" with an area of 120 square meters has all the facilities. All banking services are available at the seven counters, customer manager office area and self-service banking area. There is also a lobby in the "Board Bank" for customers to take a rest while waiting to be served. Compared to the "Tent Bank", "Board Bank" offers a more stable, reliable and comfortable environment for financial customers in the quake-stricken area.
Earlier, ICBC Lushan Sub-branch set up a "Tent Bank" near the County's Town Square to facilitate easy access to financial services for the earthquake victims. The "Tent Bank" was open in the morning of April 25. Until 18:00 on April 27, ICBC's "Tent Bank" has handled 232 customer transactions totaling RMB 29,610,000.
