Clariant Launches Innovations at Zellcheming Expo 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2013. Clariant will launch step-change papermaking innovations at Zellcheming Expo 2013 to support the manufacture of high-performance general-purpose paper and food packaging solutions which are also sustainable and more environmentally-considerate, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
Making their market debut at Booth 318, Clariant’s latest developments will join its established processing chemicals, coloration and whiteness, and surface coating additives and agents for all kinds of paper, card and board. Clariant’s portfolio creates added value for papermakers’ performance, for the consumer through better functionality, as well as for the environment.
New Cartaguard® KHI is a totally PFOA-free, grease resistant additive for recyclable, non-plastic coated paper packaging used for eat-out-of-hand snacks, such as fast-food, pastries and confectionary. It provides a true alternative to manufacturers on the look-out for effective and safe impregnating agents for naturally absorbent papers.
Clariant will also introduce visitors to its unique new Optical Brightening Agent (OBA) Leucophor® ACK – the highest strength / concentration of a urea-free active product available on the market. It is specifically designed as an ultra-concentrated aqueous solution to satisfy the most demanding environmental requirements without compromising end product quality or ease of processing.
Clariant’s award-winning stickies control innovation Cartaspers® PSM, its range of Cartabond® wet end products for increasing wet and dry strength, and Cartasol®liquid dyes will also be featured.
“The Zellcheming Expo is an important date in Clariant’s calendar, bringing us close to the market and creating the ideal opportunity to present the very latest in innovation, performance possibilities and sustainability solutions the paper industry demands,” comments Manfred Hahn, Head of Sales Central Europe Clariant.
