OREANDA-NEWS. May 20, 2013. The Government has allocated funds to complete resettlement of people from Solotvyno of Tyachivskyi area of Zakarpattya region who reside in the predicted zone of deformation of earth’s surface. A respective regulation was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on May 15, 2013.

The Government decided to allocate UAH 13 569.1 thousand to Zakarpattya regional state administration. Relevant expenses are to be fulfilled by the Finance Ministry at the account of reserve fund of the state budget.

It should be noted that in the end of 2010 on the territory of mine workings of the Solotvyno salt mine state enterprise there commenced intensive development of hydro-geological processes which led to significant worsening of the surrounding environment, threat to safe functioning of Solotvyno settlement. Exploitation of salt resource of the mining enterprise and as a result rendering services by underground departments of allergic hospitals were terminated.

Thus far, in the zone of impact of dangerous geological processes in Solotvyno there are 292 residential houses, medical and educational institutions, the part of motor roads and an industrial site of the water channel. The danger of occurrence technogenic catastrophe is preserved. In the beginning of 2013 readiness of housing and infrastructure objects aimed at resettlement of residents from the dangerous territories makes up 85 percents.
