Ukraine to Improve Legislation on Liability for Fishing Violation
OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2013. Government proposes to improve legislation on liability for violation of fishing regulations. The bill "On Amendments to Articles 240 and 255 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences" was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The purpose of the bill is to determine those local officials of the State Agency of Fisheries who have the right to draw up reports on administrative offenses and impose administrative penalties. The need for change has arisen in connection with the provision of fisheries inspectors the status of civil servants and relevant changes in staff. These names of officials differ from the names inspectors of the State Agency of Fisheries listed in the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences.
The law will promote the rational use and protection of the environment, protection of aquatic biological resources at a high level and termination of violations of legislation in the field of environmental protection.
