Court Marks Legitimacy of Fine for Finist Zheleznogorsk Garmet Factory
OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2013. Moscow Arbitration Court pronounced legitimacy of the 3.7 million Rubles fine imposed upon “Finist” Zheleznogorsk Garmet Factory” CJSC by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia).
On 13 June 2012, FAS established that 32 suppliers of military uniform and accessories for the needs of the Ministry of Interior concluded a competition-restricting agreement that resulted in maintaining maximum prices at bidding procedures (in breach of Clause 2 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”).
The cartel of suppliers of military uniform and accessories operated during 2010. The subject of the collusion – allocating 39 lots for supplying military uniform and accessories for the needs of the Departments of Internal Affairs in the Smolensk, Vologda, Pskov, Tula and Murmansk regions.
“The materials of the antimonopoly case are forwarded to the Ministry of Interior to initiate a criminal case under Article 178 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Currently FAS is undertaking measures to hold other cartel participants administratively liable”, commented Deputy Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenischev.
