OREANDA-NEWS. Tata Limited announced the appointment of Dr David Landsman OBE as director of Tata Limited, based in London, effective May 1, 2013.

Tata Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. It was established in London over 100 years ago, in 1907, as a representative of Tata Sons in Europe. The company provides support to the 19 Tata companies across the UK, including Tata Steel, Jaguar Land Rover, TCS, Tata Global Beverages (including Tetley Tea), Tata Chemicals and Taj Hotels.

Dr Landsman joins Tata Limited from a career in the British Diplomatic Service. He has served in a number of positions in London and overseas, including as ambassador to Albania and, until January 2013, as ambassador to Greece. He also spent two years on secondment as international affairs advisor at De La Rue Identity Systems.

Dr Landsman succeeds Syed Anwar Hasan, who will retire as director of Tata Limited on October 1, 2013, after a 50 year career with Tata.
