OREANDA-NEWS. Uralmashplant JSC signed a contract for supply of backup and working cold-rolling rolls for the company MMK Metalurji, that forms part of MMK group of companies. The deliveries will take place from June of 2013 to January of 2014.

This is the third contract between Uralmashplant and MMK Metalurji. Earlier, MMK Metalurji received backup and working rolls both for cold and hot rolling. This time, backup rolls to be supplied will be complete with inner bearing rings and after final machining, this will allow metallurgists of MMK Metalurji to place the rolls into position in the mill train virtually immediately without extra costs.

MMK Metalurji has two sites, in Iskenderun and Istanbul, with a production capacity of 2.3 mln ton of flats annually. This is a completely new metallurgical complex, which was completed in 2011.

The manufacture of rolls (key part of any rolling mill) is one of the priority directions of Uralmashplant activities. They are used to produce any kind of mill products: from light plates and foil to thick plates.
