OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2013. Invited by Ambassador of Poland Mr. Tadeusz Chomicki, Capt. Wei Jiafu, Chairman of COSCO attended a reception hosted by Polish Embassy in celebration of Polish Constitution Day in Beijing.

The event was also attended by over five hundred guests including Le Yucheng, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.

At the reception, Ambassador Chomicki expressed his appreciation to Capt. Wei and hoped the Chipolbrok(the Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company) would play better role in transporting more cargos in Euro-Asia trades. Currently, Chipolbrok is operating 22 modern multi-purpose vessels sailing across oceans between Asia, Europe, America and Africa. The overall tonnage is nearly 500,000 DWT.

Since its foundation in year 1951, the company has engaged in general cargo shipping service in Euro-Asia trade with rich experience in over-length and oversized cargos transportation. Capt. Wei now is serving the Chairman of BoD for Chinese side in Chipolbrok.
