OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2013. In Mogilev, Belarus, Kronospan is constructing what is said to be the largest continuous OSB plant in the world. Dieffenbacher will supply equipment to OSB plant. Kronospan has also placed three larger retrofit projects for press extensions, in addition to other initiatives aimed at increasing capacity, at plants in Spain and Russia.

The scope of supply from Dieffenbacher stretches from barking to strapping, in a plant that is designed to produce 2,800 cubic metres of OSB board a day. 

Dieffenbacher is supplying two wood preparation lines, while two energy systems will provide both of the dryers and the press with thermal energy. All waste from production will be reused to generate power. One key feature of the system is the blender, which is the largest that has ever been constructed for a wood-based panel plant. The agreed project leadtime of just seven months until the system is delivered is also tipped to be record breaking.
